Active Start Program - Ages Walking - 6.5 Years Old
For little ones just learning to bounce, our Active Start Program is catered to the kids who are just walking up until the age of 6.5. Active Start is a holistic approach to coaching, focusing on teaching those fundamental movement patterns, balance and coordination, all through play and unique movements. These classes will be structured programs, athletes (and parents for our parented programs) will be lead through circuits designed to introduce the basic fundamental moves of trampoline, tumbling and double mini trampoline. Lessons will include developmental stations focusing on motor skills, sensory and cognitive learning. They will participate in a fun game or music based warm up and will finish off with a gross motor activity such as parachute or ball play. Active Start promotes not just teaching a child to love trampoline, but to love all sport and to just love learning.
Active Start Classes
Bounce with Me
Bounce with Me classes are 35 min long classes for toddlers who are walking up to 3.5 years old. This class is designed to introduce little ones to movement in a safe environment. Toddlers and parents are guided through a variety of stretches, song and dance movements, sensory exploration, balance skills, and tumbling skill circuits. We will work on gross motor skills such as crawling, walking, rolling and of course bouncing! This is a structured program with a relaxed atmosphere that encourages physical development through play and movement, as well as social interaction and cognitive development. Our little athletes should be walking as of the start of classes. Parents, please make sure to come dressed in comfy clothes as this is a parent participation class.
Little Jumpers
This an un-parented program for ages 3 to 5.5 years old. This 45 min class is specifically designed for young children to help develop motor skills through the sport of trampoline. These Active Starters will be taught independently from their parents, bouncing their way through Trampoline's three events; Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline & Tumbling. Little Jumpers learn to bounce and roll in a fun and safe environment, but will also improve flexibility, strength and motor coordination, as well as social skills such as taking turns and listening to a coach. Classes at Airborne teach our young athletes to not only love the sport of Trampoline but to love all sport and to enjoy learning. Included in the class will be a musical and/or game warm up and a fun gross motor and hand eye coordination rotation.
Super Jumpers
This hour-long class is an introduction to our Developmental Trampoline Program for ages 5 to 6.5 years old. Coaches will lead their athletes through creative circuits focusing on fun, proper technique and safety while learning the fundamentals of Trampoline & Tumbling. It is recommended that young athletes new to Airborne register in this program before jumping into our Developmental classes.
