Introductory Program (Ages 6-12 Years Old)
Developmental classes are for anyone with a love for bouncing! Any athletes that want to learn something cool, progress as much as they can or just flat out love to jump. This program begins with an introduction to the foundational skills of Trampoline & Tumbling, learning to safely perform the basic skills to build upon, and can work up to competitive level skills. Any age, shape or kid can join developmental trampoline and tumbling if they are willing to work hard. Developmental Classes can be a fun sport just to learn, or can be used as a stepping stone to the competitive program. The openness of the developmental programs allow athletes to have some focus on what they want to learn and accommodate to every kid.
Developmental Level 1/2 – Classes are further divided into the age groups of 6-9 year olds and 8-12 year olds
Working through Airborne's Skill Progression, athletes will learn the fundamentals and basics of the Trampoline & Tumbling sport. They will get the opportunity to jump and tumble, as well as work on their strength and flexibility. Coaches will lead these athletes through basic jumps, and back and front drops, with a focus on proper and safe technique.
It is recommended that athletes over the age of 6 who are new to Airborne register in this program for their first session.
Developmental Level 3/4
Now that your athlete has learned the basics of trampoline, it's now time to work on those more advanced skills such as airplanes, round offs and front tucks. Continuing from our introductory levels, coaches will focus on proper technique, safety, strength and flexibility.
This is an intermediate level class, so athletes registering in this class should have previous T&T class experience.
Developmental Level 5/6
This class is for athletes who cannot get enough of T&T. Continuing from our level 3/4 program, coaches will focus on proper technique, safety, strength and flexibility, while working more advanced skills. Athletes will follow along Airborne's testing program, learning skills such as back handsprings, back tucks, baranis, cradles, and corkscrews.
Athletes are recommended to register for this program twice a week. As they are working on harder, more difficult skills, they will need more time in the gym to master a good foundation and understanding of the advanced skills.
